What does it mean to you? Somedays, for me, it feels like I am on an adventure just tackling the daily survival goals! (Mom-hood can be tough!) The challenge over at <a href="http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/">Heart 2 Heart</a> this week has the theme "Adventure". I have created a project to show my interpretation of Adventure... I call my project "Blessed". As crazy as an adventure this thing called life is, I find my path to be very BLESSED.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPLqmqLf7VGdju8zhRBJ1WPkarBNr3nMxdbGMFdgdyR7tkLQM-sNuKmvWhjwdx9iNJRHuF-nMYFj9U8eaYzbikdkWF4D0M745y10m5RnruC8VKvoigHnc8nCPsLVD5IA5cr-uv78lhT9U2/s1600/14372386_10157527925515360_8143301024885033868_o.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="193" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPLqmqLf7VGdju8zhRBJ1WPkarBNr3nMxdbGMFdgdyR7tkLQM-sNuKmvWhjwdx9iNJRHuF-nMYFj9U8eaYzbikdkWF4D0M745y10m5RnruC8VKvoigHnc8nCPsLVD5IA5cr-uv78lhT9U2/s400/14372386_10157527925515360_8143301024885033868_o.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
We will be getting brand new Family portraits taken very soon, so I plan to fill this layout with those! We are a family of 5 so the Left hand page will have a picture of each of us individually. Then there is room for some more group shots on the RH scrapbook page.<br />
<br />
I used the following for my layout:<br />
- Rustic Home Paper Fundamentals from CTMH (Z3262)<br />
- All Together Compliments from CTMH (Z3267)<br />
- Sea Glass Ink<br />
- CoCoa ink for edging<br />
- The September Stamp Of The Month "Blessed Beyond Measure" (S1609)<br />
<br />
The design elements of my Layout were inspired by a Sketch Challenge I played along with at <a href="http://letsscrapsketches.blogspot.com/2016/09/new-sketch-9-15-16.html">Lets Scrap!</a> Here is the sketch I started with.<br />
<br />

<br />
There is still plenty of time! I hope that you can play along too with the "Adventure" Challenge! I can't wait to see what adventure inspires in YOU!<br />

<br />
Easter Joy! Easter is on it's way!<br />
<br />
On my layout I used the new color, "Fern", from Close To My Heart. I used the fern cardstock as a ripped layer to show the background of the Rabbit Trail. I also used it as bows tied with thick twine.<br />
<br />
Create a project and incorporate the new color "Fern", then link it up to Heart 2 Heart Challenges by the end of this month.<br />
<br />
Can't wait to see what you create!<br />

<br />
It's March! The 3rd month of the year- as indicated by the "3". Thus, THREE is the first theme this month at <a href="http://www.heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/">Heart 2 Heart Challenges</a>! Get out your CTMH items, think about three as an inspiration, and get to work to share your creations.<br />
<br />
I used the number 3 in three ways... 1. I titled my layout "3 months old" and will insert photos later of the baby when he was 3 months old. 2. My page has three photo spots. 3. I positioned my decorative elements in groups of three- ie- I thought of the points of an abstract triangle when placing my grey gems.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
My finished page is based on a sketch challenge I entered at <a href="http://scrapbookchallenges.com/sketch-471/">SBC Scrapbook Challenges Sketch #471</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTEg1afiHtCFzHaNKqk8qeUdQwegIm4AdcbgEr5j7YVpCzB8ty3ShEmlJhDxpFLqMLmM4JbDx8Lkj_T731Qu_O-vDAYFR5xXDwb2Hx2VEnllwvEJkszetIcVAiBd6w8cN4fzOD88jbg72m/s1600/471.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTEg1afiHtCFzHaNKqk8qeUdQwegIm4AdcbgEr5j7YVpCzB8ty3ShEmlJhDxpFLqMLmM4JbDx8Lkj_T731Qu_O-vDAYFR5xXDwb2Hx2VEnllwvEJkszetIcVAiBd6w8cN4fzOD88jbg72m/s400/471.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
This sketch was a lot of fun to interpret in my own way! How do you think I did?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3ZFk1thn_zwbZtDjELzxvR7cQZH0e2Qh-2imRdjnnxKUzghy3SZ-Q6MT89Lz9jFzeYCOzEjc6pvQzbnecvkuLQPQyZ5lrcLhqAt-33hd6HzYoSVjvhxOWoSbTgPiFYTbcFgjPO90-MqOa/s1600/12747509_10207643597984172_2304550929395237760_o.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3ZFk1thn_zwbZtDjELzxvR7cQZH0e2Qh-2imRdjnnxKUzghy3SZ-Q6MT89Lz9jFzeYCOzEjc6pvQzbnecvkuLQPQyZ5lrcLhqAt-33hd6HzYoSVjvhxOWoSbTgPiFYTbcFgjPO90-MqOa/s400/12747509_10207643597984172_2304550929395237760_o.jpg" width="395" /></a></div>
<br />
I used my Georgie paper collectionwith coordinating stickers assortment and grey gems. To create the scalloped edge in the sketch that is to the left hand side of the patterned paper I cut the clear stickers in half and arranged the edges against the edge of the paper. My pennants in the upper left are from the zip strip of one of the papers and yellow stickers.<br />
<br />
What will the number three inspire in you? What will you brainstorm and create? Looking forward to seeing your entry at the <a href="http://www.heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/">Heart 2 Heart Challenge</a>!Heather Janehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12068979709269866718noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5851795007589602657.post-2022179684237359162016-01-18T00:01:00.000-05:002016-01-18T11:36:14.271-05:00"By The Numbers" Heart 2 Heart Challenge<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The new challenge at <a href="http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/">Heart 2 Heart is titled "By The Numbers"</a>. How can you use numbers on a paper crafting project? Check out the challenge to see how our team of designers interpreted the task!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwIjo_SVntpkKP9zgGNwYnhJ2drRIPCO1jSDzII5hEFmbvUIJPJZQ4OaBJbhY5Yda8AewloqiGU3RJrw4rgtTkyMP_wOxiN2DLvhzWDkGJrevTdQkyVRzNmCaRiHcQIW5uzzCTW7JFeyST/s1600/IMG_6868.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwIjo_SVntpkKP9zgGNwYnhJ2drRIPCO1jSDzII5hEFmbvUIJPJZQ4OaBJbhY5Yda8AewloqiGU3RJrw4rgtTkyMP_wOxiN2DLvhzWDkGJrevTdQkyVRzNmCaRiHcQIW5uzzCTW7JFeyST/s400/IMG_6868.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I chose to use numbers as a journaling key. I numbered each photo and wrote coordinating journaling for each one on a PML card.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguSAGjo7NLaupdPO_gUOHZty_lgK8Xl-ZKqSgM5Eqr2V_2tLj40PyxT6cR2lcX85V_Y7ybb7q3xp-sP4dIFISFiBjX4EWsGPTcVkhJ9_ZtU_VNgG-nUl3Gb81napQSD80u1JkPqiAzZH1k/s1600/IMG_6873.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguSAGjo7NLaupdPO_gUOHZty_lgK8Xl-ZKqSgM5Eqr2V_2tLj40PyxT6cR2lcX85V_Y7ybb7q3xp-sP4dIFISFiBjX4EWsGPTcVkhJ9_ZtU_VNgG-nUl3Gb81napQSD80u1JkPqiAzZH1k/s400/IMG_6873.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I used my "go to" alphabet stamp set, Typeface! Can't get enough of this stamp set and it was just right for what I needed to accomplish with numbers on this project.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNabb4-JfkjFDmf-Q2tRnfWWK41rtt3-KJEUJK4_wLu1d5Ak1AawYoeddHXBObnx_Ugwp49vpkt9bDbM1WV9kL_0z22IaKUEsIpsNfwtMlrBj02b27n88D62MCMubW9OEL-1uEU-A1ClMc/s1600/IMG_6866.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNabb4-JfkjFDmf-Q2tRnfWWK41rtt3-KJEUJK4_wLu1d5Ak1AawYoeddHXBObnx_Ugwp49vpkt9bDbM1WV9kL_0z22IaKUEsIpsNfwtMlrBj02b27n88D62MCMubW9OEL-1uEU-A1ClMc/s400/IMG_6866.jpg" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
This was my first chance to use the brand NEW "Regatta" Paper Collection featured in the NEW Seasonal Expressions book. I followed the online guide for suggested page layouts, kinda fun!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzVRaP1A1C8KDmsWqGHtdJ4uPcI0bhtHHHap8fE3U-KDXBS7LkdAWZLFDADrkEckAWPr0t7w0bB0u7ckcpHU9EtsDc681UgYcal36txxJsQuQpVvM1pT3gyd9G8a8sN9a7wwKFogG0uv84/s1600/IMG_6871.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="205" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzVRaP1A1C8KDmsWqGHtdJ4uPcI0bhtHHHap8fE3U-KDXBS7LkdAWZLFDADrkEckAWPr0t7w0bB0u7ckcpHU9EtsDc681UgYcal36txxJsQuQpVvM1pT3gyd9G8a8sN9a7wwKFogG0uv84/s400/IMG_6871.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Absolutely giddy over how well this zip strip sentiment matched the photo I placed with it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The NEW white and gold ribbon is a great finishing touch on this layout! Ooo Shiney!<br />
<br />

The first challenge at <a href="http://www.heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/">Heart 2 Heart</a> for this month (and so far this year) has the #1 as a theme. What project can you create with a #1 in it? I used this as a chance to start scrapping the current school year for my Son and got his 1st Grade layout started! (You have until the end of this month to play along).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I used the colors and papers from the Urban Collection for my layout. I was very excited about how well my Son's school picture coordinated with the papers.<br />

For the design of my layout I was inspired by a sketch challenge over at <a href="http://www.letsscrapsketches.blogspot.com/2016/01/sketch-1-1-16.html">Let's Scrap! </a>You have until halfway through this month to play along with this challenge too!<br />

I used the new color, Peacock, as the base to my layout. It is a beautiful shade of teal-ish blue! It coordinates in beautiful contrast to the yellow and grey shades.<br />

Hope to see you enter your projects at H2H and Let's Scrap!<br />

H2HIt is the season of giving! One of my favorite ways to give is a personalized handmade gift that I create myself. I don't always have time to get to everything I dream up, but I had to share one I had at the top of my list!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEih67Kcvm9sSgLGaVlG7nUhrrq2OOd5jEGFaUnhs3jbPm6swpi1-ydBA1TMqrrvLyCRNujC0L2qQIbWeFA38v8xAdj6nn2zAJSnU27XNPRKDzfzCpqFB5UwLkoFJCgJuWXEX-hoUIqnMO7X/s1600/IMG_6370.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="328" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEih67Kcvm9sSgLGaVlG7nUhrrq2OOd5jEGFaUnhs3jbPm6swpi1-ydBA1TMqrrvLyCRNujC0L2qQIbWeFA38v8xAdj6nn2zAJSnU27XNPRKDzfzCpqFB5UwLkoFJCgJuWXEX-hoUIqnMO7X/s400/IMG_6370.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The challenge this week at Heart 2 Heart is "Gifts From The Heart". This was the perfect motivation that I needed to move this project to the top of my list where things actually get done! Thank you H2H for helping me!<br />
<br />
"Home sweet Home" was my idea for a great gift for some of our Family that lives far away, but is always in our hearts. We cannot always have Christmas together, but we want them to know that they are loved.<br />
<br />
I cut the letters for HOME on my Cricut with Art Philosophy. The "O"s are represented by the respective States which we live in. I then highlighted the city we live in with a paper heart on 3D foam tape. I added stitch lines between the cities. Gold sequins as accents. I will put into an 8x10 frame before I gift it.<br />
<br />
What Gifts from the Heart will YOU be giving this year?! Enter them in the Heart 2 Heart blog challenge!<br />

(H2H)One might think that when you look at a new set of Watercolor paints that you might feel encouraged to paint something femanine and beautiful... Not me! I took one look at my <a href="http://heatherjane.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8637">new Watercolor paints from Close To My Heart </a>and thought- "YES! I am going to make MUD!" Even better is that I can enter it as an example for the <a href="http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/">Heart 2 Heart "watercolor" challenge</a> going on this month!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />

<br />
I created this layout with my <a href="http://heatherjane.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8723">new Urban Paper Collection</a>. The pictures in it are of a time that my family took my now Hubby out to get to know him and have fun before we got married- Mudding with Go Carts!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjesqAbS0atjutkx2qkIoyAyIywz6ACfYngx9cVthNzr3Hft5zYFJz6skUdS7y74VZZyvGO18G_wOYPNuuU79SWh0TMD3cOd71Yi9MmZeQVIOCIF2iv6bjp41PkfTE8GWfjbpP6XEqXr-k1/s1600/IMG_5477.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="198" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjesqAbS0atjutkx2qkIoyAyIywz6ACfYngx9cVthNzr3Hft5zYFJz6skUdS7y74VZZyvGO18G_wOYPNuuU79SWh0TMD3cOd71Yi9MmZeQVIOCIF2iv6bjp41PkfTE8GWfjbpP6XEqXr-k1/s400/IMG_5477.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
For my "mud" I used a lot of water on a medium brown. I got my paintbrush loaded up with lots of soupy paint. I then karate chopped it against my arm above my layout. (BEFORE my photos were attached!) I got all kinds of different effects by just playing with it and adding it layer by layer until I felt "done".<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhffIZZnJAtqxllr0AxPVKUS16ZTEpukf7AA87CkfpveKtyNM3Q6z2PZ6Rz0igkkeGqfiz1lZpGXH5cUbFeMEUP9q_T9vymxkq5D8HFV0OM3s2N6Io3euWVDBBeAPaowOSW1EF-ca75SNQh/s1600/IMG_5478.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhffIZZnJAtqxllr0AxPVKUS16ZTEpukf7AA87CkfpveKtyNM3Q6z2PZ6Rz0igkkeGqfiz1lZpGXH5cUbFeMEUP9q_T9vymxkq5D8HFV0OM3s2N6Io3euWVDBBeAPaowOSW1EF-ca75SNQh/s400/IMG_5478.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I think the watercolor mud brings my whole finished layout together.<br />
<br />

My Husband really did think that day was pretty awesome! He had a lot of fun gasing up engines and racing with my uncles and cousins.<br />

The new challenge is "Through The Window". What comes to mind for you? How could you use a Window on a page or card?<br />
<br />
I used a Window on a scrapbook page! I used the Art Philosophy Cartridge and cut out a window frame. (I set it to real dial size 9). I filled the window panels with 4x4 pictures of the things I see out the window at my house. I really LOVE where I live and love the view I have of our family farm!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXe-0b4PcxHpZRYK1lba5PpETsLTa5kiieZjdB1uGYCay6o9CKbdJKRkI1my-RDfoFSctz1zASfa6tnW0DKNRKSqUPzhBHphUMLlvxixeTB4mk58KoFZWa_eZ2cRsPj38_urLiNY7wO74x/s1600/IMG_5801.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXe-0b4PcxHpZRYK1lba5PpETsLTa5kiieZjdB1uGYCay6o9CKbdJKRkI1my-RDfoFSctz1zASfa6tnW0DKNRKSqUPzhBHphUMLlvxixeTB4mk58KoFZWa_eZ2cRsPj38_urLiNY7wO74x/s400/IMG_5801.jpg" width="396" /></a></div>
<br />
For my title I combined a cricut cut heart with different alphabet stamps, as well as a cricut cut shape. I used letters from the CTMH cartridge and welded them together in Cricut Craft Room before I cut. (I love not having to worry about loosing the dot for my 'i'!)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2ChO5FXtwv-ctgHpYQ1c6U9_XPd4fXk9h5Aa3XcPg2qEDrXfNEt3pWgo7jd5OqaFEk-NKMqvsy8TYSJgkfPVTbbjNplncqUrOW3gEm7kLBwjsP6iEhKPrX8UI8bWpUAfMno0DgIqedKpi/s1600/IMG_5805.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2ChO5FXtwv-ctgHpYQ1c6U9_XPd4fXk9h5Aa3XcPg2qEDrXfNEt3pWgo7jd5OqaFEk-NKMqvsy8TYSJgkfPVTbbjNplncqUrOW3gEm7kLBwjsP6iEhKPrX8UI8bWpUAfMno0DgIqedKpi/s400/IMG_5805.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
How will YOU interpret this challenge? I can't wait to see what you make. You have the whole month of November to play along. Hope you join us.<br />

<br />
I decided to apply this sketch to a scrapbook page since I need to work on my Wedding Album. I thought the circles could look like rings!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgekjAuuugkBeecCGrzysVy9FtE4G6ZKLO8qoqH0eB7xur_2zMEEe4WUSoSImNu9acK7vjMxwHHqnbgtTM0QC3tI2KXPSrbwIquLjXML9POaKPCmAoTVRImfnPcGLvzsYtVeTJ0h4cWhuOy/s1600/IMG_5461.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgekjAuuugkBeecCGrzysVy9FtE4G6ZKLO8qoqH0eB7xur_2zMEEe4WUSoSImNu9acK7vjMxwHHqnbgtTM0QC3tI2KXPSrbwIquLjXML9POaKPCmAoTVRImfnPcGLvzsYtVeTJ0h4cWhuOy/s400/IMG_5461.jpg" width="396" /></a></div>
<br />
I used the NEW Cricut bundle, <a href="http://heatherjane.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8545">Artistry</a>, from Close To My Heart for the diamond on my ring. I also used glitter paper for the solid layer of the diamond. The stars under the diamond are a stamp from the <a href="http://heatherjane.ctmh.com/retail/product.aspx?sku=S1510">October Stamp Of The Month!</a> (It's not JUST for Christmas!)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The sketch was so much fun! I hope you can play along too. Just <a href="http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/2015/10/a-sketch-challenge.html">post your entry</a> by the end of the month!<br />

Over at the <a href="http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/">Heart 2 Heart Challenge blog</a> we are looking for your entries for the theme of "Workin' 9-5"! <br />

<br />
For my design (as part of the "Team Slate- Design Team") I created a layout for my Husband using the Wanderful Paper Collection. I found that he has some fun work photos on his cell phone, so I got those printed out to tell his story. I wish I had done another one of these years ago for him and also for myself. It just doesn't always come to mind to take pictures at work or document that day to day detail.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimiW_FIiEBHHruDrIgkXsGM72lhYcuCDC7W241v6_Wsc_pcbHzVT6gRlWVmNQal1cggDohrRU4aV44blo0m1QtIMYHeDOFcfnfM-sJOby9wl0Vy2rzsTPlTG0Hw9NAuJzHp4BlLdvB8eB0/s1600/IMG_4984.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimiW_FIiEBHHruDrIgkXsGM72lhYcuCDC7W241v6_Wsc_pcbHzVT6gRlWVmNQal1cggDohrRU4aV44blo0m1QtIMYHeDOFcfnfM-sJOby9wl0Vy2rzsTPlTG0Hw9NAuJzHp4BlLdvB8eB0/s400/IMG_4984.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
My hubby does a lot of driving for work. The stickers from the complements set worked perfectly because they spell out "Here, There, and Everywhere"... The same answer I get when I ask where he worked that day!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbkw8N9XYUYlDDRrg54T8vL7J-Mme8K_PSa8g_8_ZTy7cyVYat21FbNjwe7J0HYEAQt-410A-nN6sSWepcDSD-e_5JnoR_Y_PcHtjoX_eFqFADCeI8dBz-5ctAt8aLxG7pviE9n60EyTWc/s1600/IMG_4985.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbkw8N9XYUYlDDRrg54T8vL7J-Mme8K_PSa8g_8_ZTy7cyVYat21FbNjwe7J0HYEAQt-410A-nN6sSWepcDSD-e_5JnoR_Y_PcHtjoX_eFqFADCeI8dBz-5ctAt8aLxG7pviE9n60EyTWc/s400/IMG_4985.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I needed to add a few extra pictures to this layout so I used a flip flap. The "There" sticker made a perfect "tab" to lift the flap with. I put the sticker right on the flap then covered the remaining sticky section with reinforcing cardstock.<br />
<br />
So, where do you spend YOUR 9-5 hours? Have you told that story in your scrapbook yet? I can't wait to see how you play along with this <a href="http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/">challenge</a>!<br />
<br />
Happy Crafting!<br />

This was a great time for me to finally scrap a few photos from a couple years ago... Lawnmower Rides with Daddy!<br />

<br />
It's a simple moment, so I wanted to keep the layout clean and simple. I used the NEW (Early Released) Paper Collection from Close To My Heart called "Zoe". This paper is both cheerful and adorable.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA9HcKWnPnv43oovWqPSip2S-ZN1QQ4Vl2_-AJ9Vk9ObNHAXQfOvq10dkYxrchmuThjCV9pkLH8CEemwo5Vh4qlAhLIxkMwxp6HklnolTSjvR86An9p435kvEpHidxpgLMAA1reANNDcVm/s1600/IMG_5028.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA9HcKWnPnv43oovWqPSip2S-ZN1QQ4Vl2_-AJ9Vk9ObNHAXQfOvq10dkYxrchmuThjCV9pkLH8CEemwo5Vh4qlAhLIxkMwxp6HklnolTSjvR86An9p435kvEpHidxpgLMAA1reANNDcVm/s400/IMG_5028.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The "One Happy Day" sentiment on the zip strip seemed fitting for my photos. I added a couple accents from the Complements Sticker pack.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEintb3FRiQx1EVmiD5bufWzatR71UwDaMgr-Mhfklo9ZD6sWE9_6PG57OHEN13zSZDPk7LOKCNgphw5BhhPP1l0RWaP_jsGOcSBvD5a7h0o-WUF5gKKczwYvINvP6q4mHy8o7IKFcylGC8z/s1600/IMG_5027.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEintb3FRiQx1EVmiD5bufWzatR71UwDaMgr-Mhfklo9ZD6sWE9_6PG57OHEN13zSZDPk7LOKCNgphw5BhhPP1l0RWaP_jsGOcSBvD5a7h0o-WUF5gKKczwYvINvP6q4mHy8o7IKFcylGC8z/s400/IMG_5027.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
This "Me & You" sticker was too cute not to use under this picture!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Needed a little something on the upper portion of the Right Hand page... A couple stars, and pennant, and a quick tie of glacier twine.<br />
<br />
You have the rest of the month to play along with the <a href="http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/">Challenge at Heart 2 Heart</a>. What inspires you to scrapbook when you hear the theme "Ticket To Ride"? Can't wait to see what you create!<br />

<br />
Wanderful layout #1 is based upon a sketch challenge I entered at <a href="http://www.letsscrapsketches.blogspot.com/2015/07/new-sketch-7-15-15.html">"Let's Scrap Challenge Blog"</a>! My interpretation of the sketch is a scatter of photos, hand stamped journaling elements, arrow washi tape, and airplanes. I always feel the need to add in in just a couple more photo wells! (Sorry this layout is not filled with my photos yet, but I am waiting on the prints to arrive. It will be a page about my husband's trip out to Colorado to visit family!)<br />
<br />
You can play along with the sketch challenges at let's scrap twice a month. Check in on the 1st and the 15th. It is a great way to hit the ground running when you work on your scrapbooking. You sit down to work with a pattern already decided!<br />

Absolutely LOVE this arrow washi tape! It adds the perfect detail and is super quick and easy! It makes a layout look finished, much the way making a bed makes a bedroom appear more put together instantly.<br />

I loved this sentiment above! "It feels good to be lost in the right direction". Adorable!<br />

This week's challenge over at the <a href="http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/2015/07/life-is-good.html">Heart 2 Heart Challenge blog is "Life is Good"</a>. I was sorting through some photos and wonder what pictures I might use for this challenge... I stopped at this stack because as I was looking through the pictures I got a feeling inside that "Life IS good!". It felt like the right fit!<br />

What better day to feel that "Life is GOOD", then on your Birthday!?<br />
<br />
I hope you like my entry for my position on Team Slate of the Design Team. I encourage you to look through your photos and scrapbook the stack that speaks to you and gives you that feeling that "Life is Good". There is time to play along until the end of the month. I hope to see your take on the challenge in the entries!<br />

<br />
I am submitting this creation to the <a href="http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/2015/05/tutti-frutti.html">Heart 2 Heart challenge titled "Tutti Fruitti"</a>. The challenge was to create a project with FRUIT in it. The new "Taste of Summer" paper pack had exactly what I needed to be "Fruitti". There is a challenge at this blog each week and you have until the current month to enter, the only rule is that you use Close To My Heart supplies when you create. If you haven't played along there yet I strongly encourage it, it is so much fun to have extra motivation to get your projects done!<br />

My layout was also inspired by a sketch template that I found at <a href="http://www.scrapbookgeneration.com/blog/">Scrapbook Generations Blog</a>. Check this site out to see some of their older retired sketch issues that are now available free once you create an account.<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_dKt_P2i5kmmyBaNQY_a-R8rsDwMzJSFHbOKaxJPCysGV4iAUpByE1dIw4gsDfyncD2zOLxQ4LYOachN_QB_I9NJpfLigCv-6Buws2I4cQbAPRZiuPG0sm_18uGNDxtVaZUHXS0K6a2XI/s1600/IMG_4060.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_dKt_P2i5kmmyBaNQY_a-R8rsDwMzJSFHbOKaxJPCysGV4iAUpByE1dIw4gsDfyncD2zOLxQ4LYOachN_QB_I9NJpfLigCv-6Buws2I4cQbAPRZiuPG0sm_18uGNDxtVaZUHXS0K6a2XI/s400/IMG_4060.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The stamp set I have had for some time now and not yet used is called "Illuminate" from Close To My Heart. It was a Stamp Of The Month from a couple of years ago! I just couldn't let it go, even though I had not even used it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCPAqwIeiuvvas_c9ZB0Gdzgs7UFxemt-VLfFeVNpo1IeYt7JicK1oBBc22mBwJ0QH720iYFzAkRDf8cqD4cXxbkK-E5zk_I4idJD-kl9aWQxWVECLiekI55VKcVsteTmszTCszVOqGOQP/s1600/IMG_4069.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="350" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCPAqwIeiuvvas_c9ZB0Gdzgs7UFxemt-VLfFeVNpo1IeYt7JicK1oBBc22mBwJ0QH720iYFzAkRDf8cqD4cXxbkK-E5zk_I4idJD-kl9aWQxWVECLiekI55VKcVsteTmszTCszVOqGOQP/s400/IMG_4069.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The "Illuminate" stamp set has this cute little phrase and candle that are perfect for setting the tone for my daughter's First Communion layout! I added a tiny sparkle to the dot of the "i" in "Bright".<br />
<br />

A 2nd stamp from this set had another perfect saying for the pages I needed to make. "If there is light in the soul, there will be beauty in the person." I love the sentiment of this. I am so glad I held onto this stamp set, and I am so glad I finally used it! What stamp set have you been holding onto that needs to be put to use?<br />

Wanted to share just a little bit about how I keep my stamp sets (used or not) organized! Above you see a picture of my two large organizer bins. I keep one bin filled with current stamp sets, as a Consultant I need to keep track of what is still available to purchase. The 2nd bin is filled with retired stamp sets that are no longer available and no longer current. When a bin gets full I must get rid of something to make space! It's a rule I made to keep myself organized.<br />
<br />

Above you see two smaller stamp organizer bins. One is for Christmas stamp sets, the 2nd is for Cricut bundle stamp sets.<br />

This is where I keep stamp sets I am working with or planning to use soon! These are small wooden bins I found at Goodwill and painted with a coat of white spray paint. I like that the stamps have a place to be that is where I can reach them, and keeps them from being a pile on my desk that spills about.<br />

It is time to jump into the <a href="http://heatherjane.ctmh.com/Retail/Search.aspx?SearchValue=jackson">NEW Jackson paper from Close To My Heart!</a> This is Layout #1! I could NOT wait to cut into this paper set. (My Mother's Day gift- an escape from day to day responsibilities, it was Oh so nice!) <br />

<br />
I had the help of this beautiful sketch challenge from the <a href="http://letsscrapsketches.blogspot.com/2015/05/sketch-5-1-15.html?m=1">Let's Scrap Sketches Blog!</a> It "had me at Hexagons". The stamp set that goes with Jackson has hexagons in it, couldn't be a better pairing!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkSbb6kAnnnroJGbqQi2188mea7Qv3uDHh23wFARxGD9xJSzI1TUlZSkK-5tUDPIbVFN9-hMHpXcBEeHcTZD5E6YJw9Ebjygv4XZmSawxKuXNYXbxZiaUddx_ht7Km5S5of74ls5Uk63E5/s1600/IMG_3888.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkSbb6kAnnnroJGbqQi2188mea7Qv3uDHh23wFARxGD9xJSzI1TUlZSkK-5tUDPIbVFN9-hMHpXcBEeHcTZD5E6YJw9Ebjygv4XZmSawxKuXNYXbxZiaUddx_ht7Km5S5of74ls5Uk63E5/s400/IMG_3888.jpg" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
This is my interpretation of the hexagon cluster on the sketch template. I used a few word stamps to add subtitles here, as well as room to journal if needed. The diamond shapes were so quick and easy to add, self adhesive accents from the <a href="http://heatherjane.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8449" target="_blank">"Brave Enamel Shapes" (Z3073- $6.95)</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
This accent cluster is one stamped hexagon, one paper punched hexagon, and one enamel diamond.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I used paper scraps to create pennant shapes and layered an enaml shape and a stamped hexagon on top.<br />
<br />
Hope you can join us for our Jackson Workshop on June 13th! Invite your friends. We will create the layout above as one of the 4 layouts we will make. You also could choose to create a set of 15 cards. More project photos will be posted soon!<br />

My little "Lucky Girl" is an expert at finding 4-leaf clovers! She has found 65 so far! What better page to set out to scrapbook on St. Patrick's Day?! I used green on this project so I will be entering it in the Heart 2 Heart Challenge, <a href="http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/2015/03/green-with-envy.html" target="_blank">"Green With Envy".</a> The papers I used are retired and from my Stash, so I am also going to enter it in the Use Your Stash Blog Hop. Their theme for this hop is "It is Hard Being Green". If you are on the hop, then you hopped here from <a href="http://michelleloncar.blogspot.com/2015/03/use-your-stash-blog-hop-its-hard-being.html">Michelles blog</a>.<br />

<br />
"NoteWorthy", a fitting sentiment for school themed papers. Could make a great accomplishment card for a new job, Graduation, you name it!<br />
<br />

<br />
I'd been keeping an eye on the paper clip flag accent idea I had seen while surfing arount on the internet. It was time to give it a try. I think it is so cute! I love office supplies, so working some paper clips into my craft projects is super fun for me!<br />
<br />

<br />
I almost think this card could be presented vertical OR horizontal depending on your mood at the time you write a sentiment inside. What do you think?<br />
<br />
Hope you like my card ideas! We will be making these if you choose cards for the March 21st workshop club!<br />

A little stamping and some layering reminds us of an important message. "Life IS good". Stamp in Lagoon Ink onto Lagoon cardstock. Clean and dry your stamp then stamp again in the NEW Flaxen Ink onto White cardstock. Trim and layer, then embellish!</div>

I could not WAIT to use this sentiment! It is something I say to myself as I flip through my stacks of printed photos! Therefore it is perfect for my scrapbooking, one of those photos that makes me stop and stare a moment when I flip through will go here.</div>

I am happy to offer this review of the new Coated Albums from Close To My Heart, as well as a BOGO offer good until Saturday February 28th 2015. I could not wait to see these in person as I had only been able to see photos of them in the online catalog. I tried to take some detailed photos for you so that you can feel as if you have held it in your hands, that's the best way to know if this BOGO deal is meant for you or not!<br />

This product review is of the <a href="http://heatherjane.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8061" target="_blank">My Legacy Lagoon Chevron Post Bound Coated Canvas Album</a>! This album retails in the USA for $34.95. This album is both cheerful in color but also sturdy and practical in function. In the above picture you can see the canvas texture. It is a thick scrim fabric feel, with a thin coating to make it durable against scratches or snags. The color and pattern is white and lagoon alternating chevrons.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
In addition to the post bound chevron, there is also a solid black or red floral option. Each of those three colors can be selected in post bound or D-ring style.<br />
<br />

<br />
Ideal for showcasing classic (or printed) 12x12 layouts side by side with Memory Protectors deaturing the lay-flat seam. Sturdy binding is ideal for supporting thicker layouts. Memory protector capacity varies depending on the thickness and weight of layouts. My style of scrapbooking appears to be able to house about 50 protectors in this album with the use of spine expanders for spacing.<br />
<br />

<br />
I have found the easiest way to slide in your albums spine cover is to rest it on its front and back cover opening facing down to the table. Just gently rock it back and forth as you slide it in.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirP-a9weqR2jDYiIgHICmLwiIZVJT-DQg3Ds9JEmIjpPwQG1W2SVp0cFehmD-IpbbGWMArhnYjoTLkFKH25y6IuifMN310_IInu8NSAxy0sLDjV42eppBufLrJ8R3-Cr3CFw5d-qo1JbpE/s1600/Chalk+It+Up+010.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirP-a9weqR2jDYiIgHICmLwiIZVJT-DQg3Ds9JEmIjpPwQG1W2SVp0cFehmD-IpbbGWMArhnYjoTLkFKH25y6IuifMN310_IInu8NSAxy0sLDjV42eppBufLrJ8R3-Cr3CFw5d-qo1JbpE/s1600/Chalk+It+Up+010.JPG" height="297" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
There is about a half inch gap at the end of the album cover. (Using Close To My Heart page protectors). This is ideal for finger grip for cover flipping, but also would allow you to add decorative section tabs to your pages if the ocassion called for it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Let's talk about the all NEW 1 1/2" binding! Thick posts fit snug in the three holes set in your album covers binding crease.<br />

The NEW post tops are very user friendly! Now I won't have to keep track of a screwdriver when putting an album together or re-arranging a few pages. (One less thing to keep track of works for me! how about you?) There is a tiny ring shaped handle that can flip up to give you grabable leverage when tightening your post tops. The ring then snaps down flat to be closed inside your binding crease fold.<br />
