Cruisin with Scrabble Letter Title!

I had so much fun creating this special layout with my Cruisin Kit from Close to my Heart! It is for my daughter's book with photos of her visiting with her Uncle. When we go to see him we make a road trip of it, so the travel theme was an ideal fit!

I fell in love with the scrabble paper that is part of this Cruisin kit! I could not wait to cut it apart into individual letters so that I could use it to create my page title. I placed the letters in a scattered arrangement as if the tiles had been dumped out onto the page. I also added 3-D foam tape to raise them up from the base papers and give them some depth and shadow.

I had seen this layout done before in an older Idea Book using a scallop border. When I saw the argyle paper in this kit I knew I needed to use it as my interpretation of that scallop accent. I trimmed it to shape along the points of the black argyle diamond shapes.

I used the foil compliments to add some extra details to the finished pages. These are so simple and quick to use to put the finishing touches on your pages.

If you know that you need these travel themed "Cruisin" papers in your stash you will want to act fast to order them before July 31st when they will retire. Visit my website to order them today!

  1. This may just be your best layout yet, Heather Jane! I can't believe you cut those argyles like that. Very cool. Sweet layout. :)

    1. Thanks Casandra! I'm pretty proud of it too. Once I saw the argyle paper I knew it would match one of my favorite photos of my Brother and I together! :)
