"Cross-Stitch Wishes" Card

January 2014's Stamp Of The Month stamp set, "Cross-Stitch Wishes", is the ideal set to use for the cross stitcher or quilt crafter you know. I have ideas for thank you cards to people who have made me special one of a kind stitched gifts. Also, I could use this stamp set on scrapbook pages documenting special gifts such as quilts. What will you, or have you, used your January Stamp Of The Month on?

I partnered this stamp set with the "Seize The Sketch" STS #12 sketch challenge. It was the perfect sketch to showcase the pennant/banner accent detail! What do you think of my interpretation?

The person I had in mind when I created this card likes blue, which meant it would also be great to include the challenge at "Inspired By" #104! How do you think I did?

I used both sides of my double sided background and texture paper from my buzz and bumble paper pack. I am submitting this card to the "Two-Faced" Challenge at the Heart 2 Heart blog.

Bumble Birthday Card!

I've been wanting to make a Bumble Bee themed birthday card for a few months now. I've been holding onto my "Buzz and Bumble" paper pack scraps and keeping a pile of supplies on the surface of my work space. Then along came the perfect sketch at "Seize The Sketch" blog challenge #3! It was time to get serious!

Hexagon Sketch, need I say more?!

TaDa! Bees and honeycombs!

Love this sentiment: "Buzzing with good wishes!"

I stamped the Bee is Cocoa ink and colored it in with yellow and white colored pencils. Then added line accents with white gel pen on the white colored pencil.

Supplies:
- Kraft Paper Cardstock (CTMH)
- Buzz and Bumble Paper Pack (CTMH- retired)
- Quick Cards Stamp- bumble Bee A1135 (CTMH)
- Colored Pencils and Gel Pens: Yellow and White
- Ink Pads: Cocoa, Chocolate
- Ribbon: Adhesive backed 1/4 inch brown with white dots (JoAnns)
- Hexagon Punch (SUP)
