October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

Welcome to the October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month's stamp set is titled: "Very Merry Christmas" (a set of 11 stamps)... That's right, Christmas, is just around the corner. This is the perfect time to stock up on project inspiration and supplies before the Christmas crunch. You are sure to find inspiration on this hop!
If you arrived here from Pam's Blog, "Pam's Clearly Crafty Corner", then you are on the right track! After you view my creations you will find a link at the bottom of this post to the next Consultant on the hop.

My layout is based on the current sketch at Let's Scrap Ning Blog site.

My favorite stamp from this stamp set is the ornament hands down! I stamped it in cranberry ink and heat embossed with clear to make it shine. When I put it on my layout I used the 3D foam tape to make it pop and create a shadow under it. I added the bow at the top to make it fancy. I really like how it turned out.

Another accent I create was the snowflake shape. I stamped it in bamboo and embellished it with tiny round crystals.

The mitten also looks great with crystal embellishments, this time I used square ones.

"Christmas Cheer" was the perfect journal accent for these pages! I stamped it on a chipboard piece and sponged the edges.

  1. I'm really digging this layout, Heather Jane! Normally, I like to see more papers, but the way the title strip goes across, and you used the patterned paper underneath, with matted photo's really makes those photo's pop and become the focus of the layout. Well done! (You are on bow-tying duty for me. Heh!)
