Product Review: Lagoon Chevron Coated Canvas Album- post bound version CTMH

I am happy to offer this review of the new Coated Albums from Close To My Heart, as well as a BOGO offer good until Saturday February 28th 2015. I could not wait to see these in person as I had only been able to see photos of them in the online catalog. I tried to take some detailed photos for you so that you can feel as if you have held it in your hands, that's the best way to know if this BOGO deal is meant for you or not!

This product review is of the My Legacy Lagoon Chevron Post Bound Coated Canvas Album! This album retails in the USA for $34.95. This album is both cheerful in color but also sturdy and practical in function. In the above picture you can see the canvas texture. It is a thick scrim fabric feel, with a thin coating to make it durable against scratches or snags. The color and pattern is white and lagoon alternating chevrons.

In addition to the post bound chevron, there is also a solid black or red floral option. Each of those three colors can be selected in post bound or D-ring style.

Ideal for showcasing classic (or printed) 12x12 layouts side by side with Memory Protectors deaturing the lay-flat seam. Sturdy binding is ideal for supporting thicker layouts. Memory protector capacity varies depending on the thickness and weight of layouts. My style of scrapbooking appears to be able to house about 50 protectors in this album with the use of spine expanders for spacing.

I have found the easiest way to slide in your albums spine cover is to rest it on its front and back cover opening facing down to the table. Just gently rock it back and forth as you slide it in.

There is about a half inch gap at the end of the album cover. (Using Close To My Heart page protectors). This is ideal for finger grip for cover flipping, but also would allow you to add decorative section tabs to your pages if the ocassion called for it!

Let's talk about the all NEW 1 1/2" binding! Thick posts fit snug in the three holes set in your album covers binding crease.

The NEW post tops are very user friendly! Now I won't have to keep track of a screwdriver when putting an album together or re-arranging a few pages. (One less thing to keep track of works for me! how about you?) There is a tiny ring shaped handle that can flip up to give you grabable leverage when tightening your post tops. The ring then snaps down flat to be closed inside your binding crease fold.

During the month of February, when you purchase one of the Close To My Heart's NEW alluring coated canvas albums you will be eligible to receive a 2nd album of your choice at half price! That is a savings of over $17 USD!

My review of this album after seeing it in person is a big thumbs up! Will you BOGO?

Happy Crafting!

  1. Great read. I love seeing the different views. How many layouts did you fit into this book? It's different for everyone, I suppose, based on flat or layered scrapbooking.

  2. I'm waiting on a few more page protectors to get here but I anticipate being able to have 50-55 in here! I do tend to lean towards flatter style pages. I really only get as crazy as an occassional chipboard piece! :)
