Life Is GOOD!

This week's challenge over at the Heart 2 Heart Challenge blog is "Life is Good". I was sorting through some photos and wonder what pictures I might use for this challenge... I stopped at this stack because as I was looking through the pictures I got a feeling inside that "Life IS good!". It felt like the right fit!

Life is good, and the paper I used is "Wanderful"! :) I love that there is PURPLE in it!

What better day to feel that "Life is GOOD", then on your Birthday!?

I hope you like my entry for my position on Team Slate of the Design Team. I encourage you to look through your photos and scrapbook the stack that speaks to you and gives you that feeling that "Life is Good". There is time to play along until the end of the month. I hope to see your take on the challenge in the entries!

Happy Crafting!

Fox Birthday Party Photo Album

Foxes are popular right now for children of all ages! Age 0 - grown adult! :) When my Nephew had a Fox themed birthday party I could not wait to create a Photo Album for him to keep his photos from the event in. I had been itching for an excuse to use my new Fox stamp!

I used the sketch inspiration from the blog "Freshly Made Sketches" sketch #119! This sketch was so cute! The angled piece of the sketch was ideal for the barn wood background I had in mind.

I used my fox stamp where the star was on the sketch. The long pennant banner was the perfect spot for my sentiment. I added a cricut cut number 1, from my Artbooking cartridge, to remember what Birthday Party it was from.

This is one of my favorite gifts to give. An album of photos from a milestone moment.

Supply Roll Call:
  • February 2014 Stamp Of The Month: "Wild About Love" (CTMH)
  • Timberline Paper (Woodgrain) (CTMH)
  • Goldrush Orange Cardstock (CTMH)
  • Earth Tones Cardstock pack (Michaels)
  • Stamp Set: "Party Pennants" C1429 (CTMH)
  • Chocolate Marker (SUP)

Bumble Birthday Card!

I've been wanting to make a Bumble Bee themed birthday card for a few months now. I've been holding onto my "Buzz and Bumble" paper pack scraps and keeping a pile of supplies on the surface of my work space. Then along came the perfect sketch at "Seize The Sketch" blog challenge #3! It was time to get serious!

Hexagon Sketch, need I say more?!

TaDa! Bees and honeycombs!

Love this sentiment: "Buzzing with good wishes!"

I stamped the Bee is Cocoa ink and colored it in with yellow and white colored pencils. Then added line accents with white gel pen on the white colored pencil.

Supplies:
- Kraft Paper Cardstock (CTMH)
- Buzz and Bumble Paper Pack (CTMH- retired)
- Quick Cards Stamp- bumble Bee A1135 (CTMH)
- Colored Pencils and Gel Pens: Yellow and White
- Ink Pads: Cocoa, Chocolate
- Ribbon: Adhesive backed 1/4 inch brown with white dots (JoAnns)
- Hexagon Punch (SUP)

Happy Card Making!

Purple and Teal!

The Mojo Monday sketch challenge this week was perfect for creating a Birthday Card for a friend!

I used shades of Purple and Teal! A new favorite color combination of mine! Instead of a flower I used a 3D punch of a butterfly. Instead of a circle and a scallop layer I used a flower stamp and cut it out by hand.

Supplies Used:
- Rich Razzleberry Cardstock (Stamping up)
- Lagoon Cardstock (Close to my Heart)
- Elemental Paper (CTMH)
- Lagoon Ribbon (CTMH)
- Bitty Adhesive Pearls (CTMH)
- Corner Rounder (CTMH)
- Butterfly Paper Punch
- Pemberley Stamp Set (CTMH)
- Afterthoughts Stamp Set (SUP)
- Whisper White Smooth Cardstock (SUP)

Baseball Photo Album

Photo Album
Wanted to find a fun way to send my Brother-in-law copies of photos we took at his Birthday party this past year. We traveled down state to go to a baseball game and have lots of great pictures! I decided to create a Birthday Mini Photo Album for him. I created the cover for it with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge as a template.

I used the colors from the jerseys of the team we went to see, blue and red. I used a ticket I had saved from the even as one of the decorative elements on the cover. I thought the popular pennant shape went well with a sports theme. The spot of the sketch that called for a circle was a perfect place to put a baseball! I created the baseball with my circle punch and the tiny button stitch stamp from the "Tailor Made" stamp set from Close to my Heart. The papers are from the new "Cruisin" and "Hero" paper packs.

Now to print the photos and get this in the mail before he wanders onto my Blog and see's this! LOL!

Birthday Owl, Pair-a-Phrase Stamp Set

There is a new special being offered with Close to my Heart! that runs now (starting today Aug 15th) and runs until September 30th 2011. When you spend $75 on an order you qualify to receive this first ever DOUBLE stamp set in honor of National Stamping Month. The stamp set is titled "Pair-a-Phrase". It contains images and sentiments that cover a wide range of card and scrapbook needs. Plus, it is SO cute!

I created this Birthday card for a crafty friend of mine, whom I knew had a love for owls. The timing of the occasion worked out perfectly for me to also be able to submit the card as an entry for Diana's Color Dare. This weeks' dare was to make something with the colors Cocoa, Smoothie, Black, and Vanilla Cream.

Card Recipe:
-Vanilla Cream Card Base
-Pair-a-Phrase Stamp Set
-Cocoa, Smoothie, Black, and Vanilla Cream card stock and ink pads

Please let me know if you are interested in making this stamp set your own!
