Let's Scrap Hexagons with Jackson Paper!

It is time to jump into the NEW Jackson paper from Close To My Heart! This is Layout #1! I could NOT wait to cut into this paper set. I took it with me to the big Boyne Scrapbooking retreat the first weekend of May. (My Mother's Day gift- an escape from day to day responsibilities, it was Oh so nice!)

I had the help of this beautiful sketch challenge from the Let's Scrap Sketches Blog! It "had me at Hexagons". The stamp set that goes with Jackson has hexagons in it, couldn't be a better pairing!

This is my interpretation of the hexagon cluster on the sketch template. I used a few word stamps to add subtitles here, as well as room to journal if needed. The diamond shapes were so quick and easy to add, self adhesive accents from the "Brave Enamel Shapes" (Z3073- $6.95).

This accent cluster is one stamped hexagon, one paper punched hexagon, and one enamel diamond.

I used paper scraps to create pennant shapes and layered an enaml shape and a stamped hexagon on top.

Buzz and Bumble: Layout #2

Buzz and Bumble Layout #2

I'm onto my 2nd 2 page scrapbook layout created with the "Buzz and Bumble" workshop on the go kit from Close To My Heart! This layout is for my Daughter's album and is all about her and her Aunt, my little Sister! (Whom loves bumble bee motif!)

Auntie on left, Niece on right. 20 some years apart, same love for necklaces!

 I've loved this photo of my Daughter wearing her Great Grandma's neckaces and grinning ear to ear! Then I was going through some old photos and found a similar photo of my Little Sister, her Aunt! I knew then that I wanted to do a page of photos of them together and put these two side by side for comparison.

Accent and Embellishments cluster! I really love these wax seal looking adhesive accents!

Scalloped "Bee" paper accent. Flowers stamped in Cocoa ink on Cocoa cardstock!
