October Stamp Of The Month Blog Hop, Home For The Holidays

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring October's SOTM, which is Home For The Holidays, a set of 7 stamps.  If you have come here from Justine's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

This month we have over 70 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I created a two-page layout by combining the SOTM with the Yuletide Carol Paper Pack. The sketch layout I used was inspired by a challenge on Let's Scrap Sketches.

This stamp set worked perfectly to create a strand of dangling tags and ornaments! I added silver shimmer trim and the sqeuins from the workshop kit.

"Dreaming, Believing, Wishing".

Now "Hop" on over to Nikka's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Pear and Partridge Layout #4

This is my forth layout that I created with my Pear and Partridge Workshop on the Go Kit from Close to My Heart! I created it as a monochromatic base by building the sketch with neutrals and similar Greens. (I did this because I knew I would load the pages with photos that feature Red- resulting in pages that are Christmas colored red and green!)

I love the Heart 2 Heart Challenge sketches and this layout is made based on sketch 20! If you enjoy working with sketches you should visit the blog to look through the ideas there. They are all made using Close to my Heart supplies too! You can play along also!

I fell in love with the zip strip that read "Christmas is a Time for Sharing". It was perfect to feature sharing Christmas with my sister who lives out of town!

I LOVE my baker's twine! I thought my red version would make a great candy cane inspired accent on this Christmas page. I tied them in tiny bows and then cut them at varied lengths.

Hope you are starting to feel the Magic of the Christmas Season!

Pear and Partridge Layout #3

I am feeling very festive! Scrapbooking photos from Christmas past has me looking forward to this year!

My third Christmas Scrapbook layout is made using the Pear and Partridge Workshop on the Go Kit from Close to my Heart. These papers were perfect for a page I wanted to make for my Daughter!

The layout design is based on a sketch from the Make It From Your Heart Volume 1 book, page 30, sketch 13. I love when a photo works out to be a cut out, or in this case, what I call a "border buster". The subject was clean and had no other objects in the way, there was a crisp line between her and the background, which made her easy to trim out. Her piggy-tails were just so cute and letting them pop out past the border of the sketch brings them extra attention!

I used my Alphabet Stamp Set, "Token", to add an attractive title and accented it with a Red Grosgrain bow. I used the same stamp set to create the numbers for the year. I made them smaller by punching them out with my small circle punch. The letters are punched with the 1 1/4" circle punch from Close To My Heart.

Hope you like it!

Pear and Partridge Layout #2

My second layout with Pear and Partridge uses the sentiment stamp "The best Gift: Family". I just love this simple stamp that comes in our workshop kit! It is perfect for these pages I made about my daughter and her cousin stealing the show at our Christmas Party a few years ago.

I also used a lot of squares with rounded corners! My corner rounding punch was glad to come out of storage, and it might show! :)

I also used the glittery rub ons again and I love how they look when used on the darker card stocks!

My favorite part of this layout is the ornament I created with the October Stamp of the Month stamp set, "Very Merry Christmas". I stamped it in Cranberry ink and then used my clear detail embossing powder and craft heat gun to emboss it and make it shine! Added the ribbon binding bow accent and set it on 3D Foam tape.

I am entering this layout in "Challenge #118 - Ornaments" at the 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge Blog. I hope they like it!

Thank you for visiting to see what I have been up to!

Pear and Partridge Layout #1

I'm so excited to share the layouts I have created with Pear and Partridge for Christmas! Here is layout #1.

The design of this layout is based on the brochure tutorial that is included in the workshop on the go kit from close to my heart. It can also be found in the Make It From Your Heart volume 1 book of sketches, Sketch 14 page 32. I used photos from my Son's first Christmas! I added a few extra photos to the space at the top!

I used the glittery rub ons from the kit as accents on both pages. They are a lot of fun and offer a finished polished look that is really easy and quick!

I did a little stamping too! I stamped the Christmas Tree and added a red sparkle from the kit. I also stamped a border under the red strip of Cranberry cardstock along the top. Also, my favorite sentiment from the stamp set, which reads "I'll never forget this Christmas because..."

What fun Christmas Projects have YOU been working on? Have you used your Pear and Partridge supplies yet?
